National Level Seminar on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Patent
Team LIM organised a National Level Seminar on Entrepreneurship, innovation and patent on 29th October, 2021 to instil amongst the students zeal and enthusiasm to carry forward their Business Ventures and to unearth the inherent entrepreneurial intent of the students. The event was graced by the benign presence of the dignitaries – Mr. Kalp Bhatt (CEO Ashine, Surat)- the key note speaker , Dr. Ritesh Agarwal – Principal of Uttaran Campus, Gajera Charitable Trust, Ms. Shloka Mehta – Technocrat from Ahmedabad, Faculty , staff and students of Laxmi Institute of Management and Laxmi Institute of Technology. The event was Chaired by Mr Kalp Bhatt the resource person of the event, a renowned enabler of start ups with expertise in scouting promising innovations, identifying growth strategy, intellectual property and operations management of eminent incubators like GTU Innovation Council and IGNITE. Mr Kalp Bhatt emphasized the fact that it is not just the idea generation but more importantly the execution part which makes the difference.
The seminar gave deep insights into the framework for converting idea into start-ups and ways of intellectual property protection through ways of Design Patents. A brief discussion on design thinking, Market Validation, Re-validation, innovation, product development, and sustainable business model and product commercialization was carried out followed by the importance of product management canvass for ensuring sustainability. The Seminar delivered threw light on ways, means and sources to achieve funding and the options available under SSIP (Student Start Up and Innovation Policy), the seed funding support under SAS (Scheme for assistance for start up innovations) and other kinds of financial supports available for start ups.The Seminar was a great learning experience for all the budding managers and entrepreneurs who were highly motivated to bring to the platform and conceptualize their innovative ideas into proof of concept and prototypes for furtherance of their ventures.
